I was blessed to grow up in a Norman Rockwellian village in upstate New York. At 5 weeks of age I contracted polio which came with challenges, however it didn't stop me from doing things especially, if I was going to miss out on something fun. One of my most memorable, fun, yet scary, things I did was to raise a small flock of sheep. This mini sheep farm consisted of Southdown ewes and Blackface Suffolk rams. Every year I would sheer, card, spin, and knit their wool into sweaters and gloves. Sounds like fun right? Well, these docile creatures could at times be anything but. One of the rams, Lamb Chops, often summoned his inner Houdini by escaping from his pen and trapping me in my car. I quickly found out why they call them RAMS. As time passed mobility in my arms and legs changed and I had to start using a wheelchair. This made tending to my flock no longer feasible. Using various forms of technology I began exploring ways in which I could not only tell my story, but reminisce as well. Each piece created can consist of 200 layers or more in which I paint, draw, and at times use photographs, which then are blended together into various images. In the beginning I created art just for me. However, as family and friends started to take notice, I realized my art was bringing others joy so now, my art is Just Four Ewe – Living through my art as a way to not let a physical disability limit me –
